Authority

NVTC serves as an element of the U.S. Intelligence Community. It was established by Congress in 2003. For more information, see:

Oversight

The NVTC was designated as a Service of Common Concern to  the Intelligence Community in September 2014. The FBI is designated to manage NVTC as a SOCC to provide timely, accurate, and cost-effective translation services.
