Burton
Dawn M. Burton – Deputy Chief of Staff
Dawn Burton serves as the deputy chief of staff to the Director. Ms. Burton first joined the Department of Justice in 1999, serving in the Office of Legislative Affairs and the Office of the Deputy Attorney General. In 2006, Ms. Burton joined Lockheed Martin and served in a variety of capacities during her time there, including as director of operations, where she oversaw day-to-day operations for Lockheed Martin’s Washington office. Ms. Burton returned to government service in 2015 and previously worked for the House Judiciary Committee.
Ms. Burton is a graduate of Capital University in Columbus, Ohio, where she received her bachelor’s degree. She earned a master’s degree in political management as well as a Juris Doctor degree from George Washington University in Washington, D.C.
