About Hate Crime Addendum 2012
The FBI Uniform Crime Reporting (UCR) Program received the hate crime data of nearly 1,500 law enforcement agencies throughout Kentucky (1 agency), Massachusetts (9 agencies), New Jersey (509 agencies), and Texas (974 agencies) after the publication deadline for Hate Crime Statistics, 2012. Given the volume of data these agencies contributed, the FBI is making a one-time exception to its publication policy and is issuing this addendum to present those data as supplements to Tables 13 and 14 of the annual publication. Data users note that these data are not included in Hate Crime Statistics, 2012, in either aggregate tables or in agency tables. In addition to this addendum, the hate crime data from the agencies involved are available in the hate crime master file for 2012.
