Arrests, Persons Under 15, 18, 21, and 25 Years of Age, 2019

  • In 2019, individuals under the age of 25 accounted for 26.9 percent of all arrestees.
  • Individuals under the age of 25 comprised 31.2 percent of all persons arrested for violent crimes and 31.3 percent of all persons arrested for property crimes.
  • In 2019, 40.0 percent of all persons arrested for murder and nonnegligent manslaughter were under the age of 25.
  • Of all persons arrested for robbery, 52.3 percent were under the age of 25. Nearly 22 percent (21.6) of persons arrested for robbery were juveniles (individuals under age 18).
  • Persons under the age of 25 accounted for 32.8 percent of all persons arrested for burglary in 2019. Juveniles accounted for 12.1 percent of persons arrested for burglary.
  • Arrests of persons under the age of 21 accounted for 16.1 percent of drug abuse violations.
