Arrests, Persons Under 15, 18, 21, and 25 Years of Age, 2015

  • In 2015, individuals under the age of 25 accounted for 34.2 percent of all arrestees.
  • Individuals under the age of 25 comprised 36.1 percent of all persons arrested for violent crimes and 40.9 percent of all persons arrested for property crimes.
  • In 2015, 44.6 percent of all persons arrested for murder and nonnegligent manslaughter were under the age of 25.
  • Of all persons arrested for robbery, 55.9 percent were under the age of 25. Less than 20 percent (19.4) of persons arrested for robbery were juveniles (individuals under age 18).
  • Persons under the age of 25 accounted for 45.3 percent of all persons arrested for burglary in 2015. Juveniles accounted for 16.5 percent of persons arrested for burglary.
  • Arrests of persons under the age of 21 accounted for 21.3 percent of drug abuse violations.
