Current Year Over Previous Year Arrest Trends, Totals, 2014–2015

  • The number of persons arrested in 2015 decreased 3.5 percent when compared with the number of persons arrested in 2014. The number of juveniles (persons under age 18) arrested in 2015 decreased 8.4 percent from the number of juveniles arrested the previous year.
  • The number of persons arrested for violent crimes increased 1.5 percent from 2014 to 2015.When compared with data from 2014, the number of juveniles arrested for violent crimes decreased 3.1 percent.
  • The number of arrests for murder rose 6.7 percent, when comparing 2015 arrest data with 2014 arrest data.
  • The number of adults arrested for property crimes in 2015 decreased 4.9 percent when compared with 2014 data. The arrests of juveniles for property crimes decreased 9.6 percent.
