Arrests, by Age, 2012

  • In 2012, 89.2 percent of all individuals arrested were adults (18 years of age and over). Adults comprised 88.3 percent of all persons arrested for violent crimes and 82.0 percent of persons arrested for property crimes.
  • Adults accounted for 91.1 of persons arrested for drug abuse violations.
  • In 2012, 37.0 percent of persons arrested for arson were juveniles. More than half of these juveniles were under age 15.
  • Persons between the ages of 25-29 accounted for 15.3 percent of all arrests made in 2012.
