Arrests, by Age, 2010  

  • In 2010, 87.4 percent of all individuals arrested were adults (18 years of age and over). 
  • Adults comprised 86.3 percent of the arrests for violent crimes and 77.5 percent of the arrests for property crimes. 
  • Nearly 90 percent (89.6) of persons arrested for drug abuse violations were adults. 
  • In 2010, 40.6 percent of persons arrested for arson were juveniles. More than half (58.8 percent) of juveniles arrested for arson were under age 15.
